Monthly contest themes:

In conjunction with the new Modeler of the Year program, here

are the proposed Monthly Themes….. yes, we would have a

contest at each meeting…a small contest awarded by ribbons,

nothing too major…but would this gain some participation?

Or, should we go every other month?

January — New Beginnings

Anything as it appeared when it was first introduced, such as

a 641/2 Ford Mustang, YF-22, or a ship as it appeared when

first launched.

February — Lights, Camera, Action

Any subject that was featured or part of a movie or TV show.

March — Best Tamiya Model

April — April Fools

Best joke or humorous subject. feel free to go nuts with this.

May — Model de Mayo

Any model with a Mexican or Latin American theme, heritage

or influence – includes South American subjects as well.

June — The Great Race

Best model that has to do with racing. Subjects must appear

in their racing colors or forms.

July — Summer Cruise Night

Any and all automotive subjects. This years SCN promises to

be a very special night. We have a lot of plans in the works.

August — Dragonawa

Best Dragon or Hasegawa model.

September — Best of the Worst

The best model from the worst kit, for instance, can you make

a Tamiya quality model from a (includes, but not limited to)

Hawk, Frog, Smer or Limberg kit? Model must be made from

the majority of the kit. The original box and/or instructions are

required on this night.

October — Sci/Fi, Horror and Fantatsy

Any Science Fiction, Horror or Fantasy subject. If you ever

wanted to try your hand at a Gundam model, this would be a

great opportunity.

November — Best Innards

Best details within a model. i.e. engine detail, cockpit,

automotive interior, or hanger deck within an aircraft carrier.

December — Revelogram

Best Revell and/or Monogram model.
